Of course I disagree with your opinion of "Messiah" (I think it is time we admit that even though it is WAY TOO overplayed...it is brilliant and though it seems cool to deride it, it is even cooler to admit that it is a masterful composition - and much shorter than the other operas and oratorios people are mentioning), and I know this is a really sincere compelling production, I am actually happy it has caused some discomfort with our base. That is a good sign that we are doing our job. That said, the "Calisto" is a pet project of mine, but if we don't get some more funding soon we are going to have to cancel it unfortunately!
